Lakrids by Bülow was founded on the Danish island of Bornholm on July 7, 2007. Through enchanting taste experiences and combinations, Lakrids by Bülow became a favourite brand in Denmark. In fact, the company has spearheaded the establishment of a totally new product category. The vision is to spread the love for liquorice around the globe – “We make the World love Liquorice”. The products are sold through more than 1900 resellers across 25 countries and is represented in high-profile department stores and resellers e.g. KaDeWe, Illum, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, De Bijenkorf, NK, Illums Bolighus & Magasin du Nord. In addition, Lakrids by Bülow operates 25 own retail shops located in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany and The United Arab Emirates. The products are also available online at www.lakridsbybulow.com.

Lakrids by Bülow for 2019 sales amount to EUR 30 mio. The turnover in DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) exceeded EUR 5 mio, half of which falls under the responsibility of the Head of Sales and half of which pertains to retail and online. The company has had double digit growth since its inception.

Profile

You are passionate and driven by seeing development. You are a high achiever coupled with an understanding of branded high-end consumer products. You have knowledge of both on- and offline distribution, you have management skills and understand how to act in a small organization with passionate people. Experience from a high-end service environment is a distinctive advantage.

You demonstrate understanding of a company's value chain, with emphasis on understanding various distribution channels: traditional wholesale, business to business, online, travel retail and branded retail.

We imagine that you have gained experience through a role as Head of Sales, Sales Manager, Key Account Manager or equivalent. You can demonstrate that you are able to profitably develop distribution networks and business. You have a relevant education.

You present yourself as engaging, delegating, and motivating, with the ability to turn strategy into activities that create sales and involve your employees.

Requirements

The Job:

  • You will be responsible for wholesale & B2B in DACH countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and report to the Sales Director located at the company’s head office in Copenhagen.
  • You will have the hands-on responsibility for the Nordrhein Westfalen area Wholesale & B2B. You will have three direct report (responsible for 3 other districts).
  • You will implement a Cost to serve model for the DACH area.
  • You will develop and implement the Lakrids by Bülow sales strategy for wholesale DACH through cluster focus
  • You will actively work with existing wholesale and B2B customers across the DACH region to drive sales (Like-for-Like), profitability and create loyal consumers (grow database).

Qualifications and personal competencies

  • Fluency in German & English and preferably good understanding of Scandinavian languages
  • Ability to improve sales processes
  • Understand the requirement of balancing ‘execution’ vs ‘creativity’ and the proper prioritization between them
  • Seeks responsibility and takes strong ownership of projects and tasks
  • High level ability to analyse sell in vs. sell out data
  • Solid digital understanding of the contemporary retail and e-commerce environment
  • Experience from other Export markets
  • Not afraid to roll up the sleeves when required – leads by example
  • Open-minded and flexible attitude – adapts well to changes
  • Developed negotiations skills
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • High drive and can-do attitude
  • Monthly reporting on sales performance & follow up against budget
