The UK is our fastest growing market. We have built a portfolio of London locations with more being opened this year, triple digit growth in our wholesale business and a thriving ecommerce channel. This role puts you at the centre of that growth.

Job Description:

We're looking for a part-time Weekend Sales Assistant to join our team at Selfridges.

As a Sales Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating memorable customer experiences, introducing customers to our products through tastings, and helping them find the perfect gift or treat for any occasion.

This role is primarily weekend-based, so flexibility across Saturdays and Sundays is essential. From time to time, you may also be asked to support colleagues at other locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers and making sure their experience is worth remembering.

  • Running tasting sessions — this is the heart of how we sell and the fastest way to turn a sceptic into a fan.

  • Making gifting recommendations based on budget and occasion.

  • Growing our customer community through our Lakrids Lovers loyalty programme.

  • Keeping the location looking exceptional in line with visual merchandising standards.

  • Working closely with the Store Manager and the wider team.

  • Operating in line with both LBB brand standards and Selfridges requirements.

 

Opening Hours

09:30 am – 10:15 pm

 

Compensation

£14 per hour

Job Requirements

  • Confidence with people. You're comfortable approaching customers, not just waiting to be approached.

  • Previous retail or customer-facing experience (helpful, not essential).

  • Full flexibility to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Willingness to support and travel to other locations when required.

  • Positive, adaptable, and reliable approach to changing business needs.

  • Good organisational skills and an eye for detail.

  • A team-first mindset.

  • A genuine interest in food, flavour, or premium products is a real plus.
